Prop care

Storage

  • Store your props in a dry space. Keep your props away from water or damp conditions.

  • Lay your props flat on the ground for optimum care or for space saving.

  • Or stand up flat against a wall to avoid props bending.

Maintenance

  • If you keep up a regular maintenance routine, your props should last you a long time.

  • Tighten any loose screws before and after a set up.

  • Use a wood filler for repairing damage.

  • Sand down any blemishes or uneven paint.

  • This can also be used to fix any damage to props in transit: pallet/courier/Parcelforce or even damage from van to venue and back again.

Painting your props

  • ALWAYS prime your props with an MDF primer before painting your desired colour.

  • DO NOT paint any parts that connect together .

  • Paint each part individually - e.g. DO NOT paint foldable props as one piece.

  • Lightly sand any noticeable paint blemishes.
